The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists came into being in February, 1992. The College is directly responsible for the examination and qualification of anaesthetists, and the standards of anaesthesia practice in Australia and New Zealand. - Quit Group
The Quit Group is a charitable trust formed by the Cancer Society, Te Hotu Manawa Mãori and the Health Sponsorship Council to carry out programmes to reduce smoking in New Zealand. The programmes are funded by the Ministry of Health. The Quit/Me Mutu Campaign is a multi-pronged strategy that uses mass communications combined with practical support for smokers. The support is provided through the free phone service, the Quitline. In addition to information about the programmes, the site provides facts and figures on smoking in New Zealand.
