- Quit Group
The Quit Group is a charitable trust formed by the Cancer Society, Te Hotu Manawa Mãori and the Health Sponsorship Council to carry out programmes to reduce smoking in New Zealand. The programmes are funded by the Ministry of Health. The Quit/Me Mutu Campaign is a multi-pronged strategy that uses mass communications combined with practical support for smokers. The support is provided through the free phone service, the Quitline. In addition to information about the programmes, the site provides facts and figures on smoking in New Zealand.

A Crown entity responsible for the provision and funding of health and disability services in the region. It is one of 21 district health boards established nationally on January 1, 2001.The board governs all Taranaki public hospitals, community services, including district nursing, health education and public health. Hospitals provide a range of acute health, emergency services, mental health, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services and community and outpatient health services to a regional population of about 106,000 people.
